Attendance

Attendance to the U.S. Adaptive Open is complimentary and does not require a ticket.  We invite you to attend all practice and championship rounds.  Fans are welcome to arrive prior to the day’s first scheduled events and leave at the conclusion of play.

Starting times can be found on the championship website linked below, when they are released approximately two days prior to prior to the first practice round.

  • Friday, July 3, Practice facilities only
  • Saturday, July 4, Practice Round 1
  • Sunday, July 5, Practice Round 2
  • Monday, July 6, Championship Round 1
  • Tuesday, July 7, Championship Round 2 (the field will be cut approximately in half after 36 holes of play)
  • Wednesday, July 8, Championship Final Round

Fan Parking and Transportation

Fans can park at Woodmont Country Club, 1201 Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD 20852 during the championship. Please follow the signage and the parking attendant to General Parking.

Due to limited parking, all fans and families are encouraged to carpool.

If fans choose to use a Ride sharing option, the pickup and drop off will be located directly at the club.

Parking and transportation are subject to change.

Food and Beverage Information

Food and beverage options will be available for purchase on the property. Fans are encouraged to bring their own water bottles to fill up on property. Complimentary bottled water is only provided for the players playing in the Championship. 

List of Prohibited Items

  • No Weapons (regardless of permit, including but not limited to firearms or knives)
  • No Explosives and/or Fireworks of any kind
  • No Tablets and/or Computers (mobile devices smaller than 7" are permitted, subject to mobile device policy)
  • No Drones
  • No Selfie Sticks
  • No Cameras (point and shoot, film, or DSLR) or Video Cameras, other than practice round days, for personal use only
  • No Noise-Producing Devices (including portable speakers)
  • No Backpacks, Briefcases, Purses and/or Bags larger than 6" W x 6" H x 6" D in their natural state
  • NOTE: Transparent/clear plastic hand and shoulder bags no larger than 12" W x 12" H x 6" D are permitted.
  • No Signs, Posters and/or Banners
  • No Food and/or Beverages except for medical or infant needs
  • Water bottles (32-ounce size or less, no glass) are permitted and encouraged provided they are empty
  • No Glass, Coolers, Aerosol Cans and/or Spray Bottles except for medical or infant needs
  • NOTE: Personal-care items (3-ounce size or less) are permitted.
  • No Pets (other than service animals as defined by the ADA assisting individuals with disabilities)
  • No Lawn Chairs and/or Oversized Chairs (carrying cases are not permitted) 
  • No Ladders and/or Step Stools or other similar items
  • No Bicycles allowed inside admission areas or on the championship grounds
  • No other items or actions deemed unlawful, dangerous or disruptive by the USGA and/or Championship Security Personnel, in their sole discretion

NOTE: The USGA reserves the right to amend the List of Prohibited Items at any time to provide a safe and secure championship.

Fan Code of Conduct

This Fan Code of Conduct for USGA Championships (“Code of Conduct”) applies to all fans and spectators of USGA Championships (including qualifiers), including player guests, player support and any other fans and attendees. Fans are expected to conduct themselves and interact with others in a respectful and courteous manner, with consideration for the physical and emotional well-being of others, and to treat all individuals with a sense of dignity and respect.

Fans and attendees are required to obey all Championship policies including, but not limited to, those provided on any attendance ticket or credential, including the USGA Ticket and Credential License Agreement, all posted signage, and any instructions from Championship marshals and officials, USGA staff and volunteers, club staff and volunteers, law enforcement, and security. Fans and attendees are prohibited from engaging in inappropriate behavior (whether on or off the course) towards any players, caddies, marshals, officials, volunteers, fans, USGA or club staff or vendors, or championship guests. Inappropriate behavior may include, but is not limited to:

  • Physical abuse or harassment of any nature
  • Verbal or emotional abuse or harassment, threats, vulgar language, or taunting or shouting insults
  • Blatant or excessive profanity
  • Derogatory, rude, or aggressive conduct or obscene gestures
  • Damage to the golf course, club facilities, other structures, amenities, signage or equipment
  • Failure to adhere to the Mobile Device Policy
  • Failing to stay behind gallery rope lines

  • Conduct which is disruptive to competition or distracting to a player, including, but not limited to, loud conversations, yelling during play, fighting, or throwing objects

  • Conduct which could result in an unfair advantage to a player or disadvantage to another player

  • Conduct that would unduly influence the outcome of competition
  • Accessing or attempting to access restricted areas without proper authorization.

  • Impairment or intoxication due to consumption of alcohol or other substances, or any consumption of alcohol by underage fans or assisting in purchasing or supplying alcohol to underage fans

  • Refusal to follow Championship policies/signage or the instructions of championship officials, volunteers, law enforcement, or security

Mobile Device Policy

The USGA encourages fans to capture their favorite moments at our championships and stay connected with family and friends while onsite. We have set guidelines on mobile device usage to ensure our players and other fans are not distracted or disrupted during the championship.

  • Fans may carry mobile devices smaller than 7” in length and/or height.
  • Device volume controls must be set to “silent” or “vibrate” and flash photography must be disabled.

  • Phone calls should be limited to areas away from play and not in any area that may disrupt play, including grandstands.

  • Photography, video, and audio recording are permitted throughout the course, but content must not be used for commercial purposes.

  • Live streaming or shot-by-shot coverage of any player (with or without video) for any purpose (including, but not limited to, for betting/gambling purposes), is not permitted at any time throughout the championship.

  • All posted signage and instructions from championship staff and volunteers must be observed.

In addition, any photographs or videos captured during a USGA Championship should be tactful and appropriate and should not compromise any person’s privacy, including any players, caddies, fans or other attendees.

Violation of this Code of Conduct may result in immediate removal from the Championship premises, cancellation of a Championship admission ticket(s) or credential(s) without refund, and/or prohibition from attending future USGA Championships, as determined by USGA in its sole discretion. USGA expressly reserves all rights and is available under this Code of Conduct, its policies or under the law.

Autograph Policy

We ask that you respect each player’s complete focus on preparing for and playing in the championship. If you are requesting an autograph, please be respectful and wait until they have concluded play for the day and have finished signing scorecards.

Security

Montgomery County Police Department and Woodmont Country Club have developed a comprehensive plan for security the championship.

Advice while attending a USGA Championship while on or off site:

  • Lock vehicles at all times.
  • When storing valuables in a vehicle, place them securely in the trunk and out of sight.
  • Do not give valuables to unknown persons.
  • Do not leave valuables unattended at any time.
  • Report any suspicious persons or activities to police or USGA on-site staff.
