The 2025 U.S. Amateur Championship will be the 91st USGA championship played in California and the 12th at The Olympic Club. The starting field of 312 players will play 18 holes of stroke play on both Aug. 11 and 12, with one round at the club’s Lake Course and one at the Ocean Course, after which the field will be cut to the low 64 scores. Six rounds of match play begin on Wednesday, Aug. 13, and the championship concludes with a 36-hole championship match on Sunday, Aug. 17

Monday, August 11: Stroke Play, Round 1

  • Gates open at 6:00 a.m. (Lake Course and Ocean Course)
  • Tee Times: 7:00 a.m. and 12:15 p.m.

Tuesday, August 12: Stroke Play, Round 2

  • Gates open at 6:00 a.m. (Lake Course and Ocean Course)
  • Tee Times: 7:00 a.m. and 12:15 p.m.

Wednesday, August 13: Match Play, Round of 64

  • Gates open at 6:30 a.m.
  • Playoff, if necessary, will begin at 7:30 a.m.
  • Round of 64 Tee Times: 9:00 a.m. – 2:10 p.m.

Thursday, August 14: Match Play, Round of 32 and Round of 16

  • Gates open at 7:00 a.m.
  • Round of 32 Tee Times: 8:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.
  • Round of 16 Tee Times: 2:00 p.m. – 3:10 p.m.

Friday, August 15: Match Play, Quarterfinals

  • Gates open at 12:30 p.m.
  • Tee Times: 1:30 p.m. – 2:15 p.m.

**Public tickets are available for both the stroke play and match play portions of the championship, from Monday to Sunday, at The Olympic Club. During Monday and Tuesday’s stroke-play rounds, a Gallery ticket will provide access to both courses on property, including the Ocean Course, which will serve as the stroke-play companion course for the championship.   • Tickets are available for purchase on our website or at the main entrance for all stroke play and match play rounds at The Olympic Club.

  • Complimentary public parking for access to The Olympic Club is available in Lot 20 at San Francisco State University located at 796 State Drive, San Francisco, CA 94132. Follow signs for U.S. Amateur General Parking. Fans will be shuttled complimentary to and from The Olympic Club and the parking area at San Francisco State University.

  • Fans using Uber, Lyft, Waymo, or a taxi must be dropped off and picked up at the Daly City / Westlake Park Community Center, located at 111 Lake Merced Blvd, Daly City, CA 94015. Rideshare vehicles should follow event signage to the designated drop-off and pick-up areas. Drop-offs and pick-ups directly at The Olympic Club are strictly prohibited. Please note: there is no public parking available at the Daly City / Westlake Park Community Center. Complimentary shuttle service will be provided to and from The Olympic Club.

  • Juniors ages 17 and under will be allowed complimentary admission daily when accompanied by a ticketed adult or credential holder. Tickets can be obtained each day of the championship at the main admission gate.

The Olympic Club golf shop will be open for fans to purchase championship apparel and commemorative merchandise.

The USGA encourages fans to seek autographs but asks that you respect each player’s complete focus on preparing and playing in the championship.  Please refrain from seeking autographs from the time a player is on their way to the first tee until the completion of the player’s round. Violation of this policy may result in expulsion and loss of ticket privileges for the remainder of the championship.

While staying in touch with family and friends and capturing your onsite experience is encouraged, use of a mobile device should not disrupt players or play. Fans may carry mobile devices smaller than 7 inches in length and/or height.  All volume controls must be set to “silent” or “vibrate” and flash photography should be disabled. Phone calls should be limited and not be made in any area that may disrupt play. Photography, video, and audio recording are permitted throughout the course, but content must not be used for commercial purposes.  No live streaming or shot-by-shot coverage (with or without video) is permitted. Violation of any of these policies may result in immediate expulsion and loss of ticket privileges for the remainder of the championship.

If you observe the following guidelines, your experience at the U.S. Amateur Championship will be a more enjoyable one:

  • Please stay behind gallery ropes and follow directions of championship marshals at all times.
  • Be considerate of others and kneel or sit if you are in the front row of the gallery.
  • Stay quiet and stand still when players are about to hit or when instructed by marshals.
  • All mobile device volume controls must be set to silent or vibrate at all times.
  • To ensure your safety at all times, walk carefully and never run.
  • The U.S. Amateur involves substantial walking on grassy hills, dirt paths and other uneven surfaces. Please wear appropriate footwear such as sneakers.
  • Drink plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration.
  • To provide protection from the sun, remember to wear sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses. Please note that sunscreen in bottles and tubes, 3 ounces or less are permitted. Sunscreen in spray bottles and/or aerosol cans are not permitted.

Concession areas will be available at The Olympic Club for the purchase of food and beverages. These locations will be near the main practice area, Lake Course Hole 10, and Lake Course Hole 16. Additional beverage carts or drink stations may also be available.

A First-Aid Station will be available at The Olympic Club located near the main entrance to the property once you have exited the complimentary shuttle. If a medical emergency arises, please notify a volunteer, security personnel, or USGA official.

Fans and other championship attendees will go through security screening prior to entering the Championship grounds and will not be allowed to bring any of the items listed below. To help expedite admission into the championship, it is recommended that all prohibited items are safely stowed prior to arriving at the championship or parking lot. Please be sure to read the following list of prohibited items carefully.

  • No weapons (regardless of permit, including but not limited to firearms or knives)
  • No explosives and/or fireworks of any kind
  • No tablets and/or computers (mobile devices smaller than 7" are permitted, subject to mobile device policy)
  • No drones
  • No selfie sticks
  • No cameras (point and shoot, film, or dslr) or video cameras (other than practice round days, for personal use only)
  • No noise-producing devices (including portable speakers)
  • No backpacks, briefcases, purses and/or bags larger than 6" w x 6" h x 6" d in their natural state
    • Note: transparent/clear plastic hand and shoulder bags no larger than 12" w x 12" h x 6" d are permitted.
  • No signs, posters and/or banners and/or other Sports Paraphernalia or Memorabilia
  • No food and/or beverages except for medical or infant needs
  • Water bottles (32-ounce size or less, no glass) are permitted provided they are empty upon arrival
  • No glass, coolers, aerosol cans and/or spray bottles except for medical or infant needs
    • Note: personal-care items (3-ounce size or less) are permitted.
  • No pets or emotional support animals (other than service animals as defined by the ADA)
  • No lounge chairs and/or oversized chairs (carrying cases are not permitted) 
  • No ladders and/or step stools or other similar items
  • No bicycles, segways, scooters, or other personal transportation devices allowed inside admission areas or on the championship grounds (other than use for individuals with mobility disabilities)
  • No other items or actions deemed unlawful, dangerous or disruptive by the USGA and/or championship security personnel, in their sole discretion

Note: The USGA reserves the right to amend the list of prohibited items at any time to provide a safe and secure championship.

The USGA will communicate important safety information to fans through special alerts and will have rules officials and general staff communicating specific instructions to fans if there is inclement weather.

A suspension of play for dangerous conditions will be indicated by one prolonged air-horn blast. In the event of a suspension of play, the grounds will be cleared immediately. If lightning is detected, please avoid open areas, hilltops, high places, isolated trees, golf carts and wire fences, and seek shelter immediately. Play will resume as conditions allow.

The USGA is committed to providing a positive and user-friendly experience for all fans with disabilities.

  • Accessible parking spaces for all vehicles having appropriate HD/DP license plates or placards will be reserved at all parking locations.
  • Motorized scooters will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, compliments of the USGA and Pride Mobility
  • Accessible restrooms will be available at public restroom locations.
  • Concessions and merchandise areas will be accessible.
