2024 Championship Jose Luis Ballester, of Spain, and a rising senior at Arizona State University, edged Floridian and University of Iowa rising sophomore Noah Kent, 2 up, in the 36-hole final at Hazeltine National Golf Club, in Chaska, Minn. Did You Know? The Olympic Club, originally called the San Francisco Olympic Club, is the oldest athletic club in the United States. It was established on May 6, 1860. James J. Corbett, the heavyweight boxing champion from 1892-97, joined The Olympic Club in 1884 and later went on to coach boxing at the club for many years.
Fast Fact In 1964, The Olympic Club had three USGA champions: Johnny Miller (U.S. Junior Amateur; Ken Venturi (U.S. Open) and William Higgins (U.S. Senior Amateur).
