  • Holds the record for most Alabama Golf Association state tournaments won (21)
  • Won the 2020 Alabama Women’s State Senior Amateur and was runner-up in 2021
  • Runner-up in the 2021 North and South Senior Women’s Championship in Pinehurst, N.C.
  • Retired high school science teacher and middle school counselor
  • Her husband, Chris, is the director of the USGA Green Section’s Course Consulting Service

  • Six-time Ohio Senior Women’s Amateur champion

  • Began playing golf at 43 years old
  • Works as a physical therapist 
  • Grandparents were longtime members at San Diego Country Club and used to have a woman named “Mickey” over to the house. It wasn’t until Sherry was an adult that she realized it was four-time U.S. Women’s Open champion Mickey Wright.
