The older brother of 2026 United States Presidents Cup captain Brandt Snedeker will make his U.S. Senior Open debut after getting into the field as the first alternate from the Golfcrest Country Club final qualifier, in Pearland, Texas. Haymes also survived local qualifying in Montgomery, Ala., shooting a 71 at Wyndlakes Golf & Country Club. Haymes last competed in a USGA championship at the 2022 U.S. Amateur at The Ridgewood Country Club. Haymes returned to competitive golf in his late 40s after spending a lot of time taking his kids to Little League and other sporting endeavors. He played collegiately at Ole Miss from 1994-99, and nearly a decade after graduating, he won a trip to PGA Tour Q-School via Golf Channel's Big Break program. He played briefly as a professional and teed it up alongside Brandt, the 2003 U.S. Amateur Public Links champion, at the old Walt Disney World Golf Classic. In 2025, he was the runner-up in the Trans-Mississippi Mid-Amateur. He also launched the Snedeker Memorial, a mid-amateur invitational event held at Lakewood Country Club, in Point Clear, Ala. He is a commercial real estate developer and construction executive.
