The Simpsonville, S.C., resident will have a belated 50th birthday present at Scioto C.C., having hit the milestone just under 30 days prior to the championship. Eassy survived both stages of qualifying, including a 2-under 70 at Treyburn Country Club, in Durham, N.C., on May 19 to garner one of the five available spots into the field. He owns multiple South Carolina Golf Association Forty Series titles and he has claimed three Greenville County Amateur titles, the last in 2020. In 2016, he won the SCGA Mid-Amateur at the Country Club of Lexington. Eassy and partner Jeremy Revis lost in the Round of 32 of the 2022 U.S. Amateur Four-Ball at the Country Club of Birmingham (Ala.).
