F-28: Special exemption from the USGA
The two-time U.S. Open champion will tee it up in the U.S. Senior Open for an 11th time, thanks to a special exemption from the USGA. Janzen claimed his two U.S. Open titles in 1993 at Baltusrol Golf Club and five years later at The Olympic Club, holding off the late Payne Stewart in both occasions. Janzen was a standout performer at NCAA Division II Florida Southern, where his teammates included Rocco Mediate and Marco Dawson. The team won the Division II national title in 1986 and he was a first-team All-American in 1985 and '86. Besides his two major titles, Janzen won The Players Championship in 1995 and his eight PGA Tour victories. He also has won twice on the PGA Tour Champions, the last coming in the 2021 SAS Championship. Janzen is a big support of the College Golf Fellowship, In 2004, he teamed with Aaron Stewart, the son of the three-time major champion (two U.S. Opens), in the PNC Father-Son Challenge.
