SentryWorld to Host State Junior Teams from Three States for USNDP Midwest Sentry Showcase

State Junior Teams from Ohio, Minnesota and Wisconsin will meet at SentryWorld July 3-4 for the USNDP Midwest Sentry Showcase. The first-of-its-kind two-day team event brings State Junior Teams from the U.S. National Development Program together for friendly competition.

It will be the second U.S. National Development Program event at the resort. In 2024, SentryWorld hosted an international friendly match between the U.S. National Junior Team and Australia.

Eight athletes (four boys and four girls) from each state junior team will make the trip to SentryWorld. Following practice rounds on Thursday, competition begins Friday with mixed four-ball matches ending with singles matches on Saturday.

Four USNDP Grant Athletes will be competing at SentryWorld. Sentry Insurance is a proud partner of the U.S. National Development Program and helps fund the grant program.

SentryWorld, a public, parkland course in central Wisconsin, was developed by Sentry Insurance in 1982 as part of a sports complex that includes indoor tennis courts, banquet space and restaurants. At the heart of the 200-acre property lies the championship layout, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. In 2013, Jones oversaw a major renovation led by architects Bruce Charlton and Jay Blasi.

SentryWorld has hosted three USGA events: the 1986 U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links, the 2018 U.S. Girls’ Junior and 2023 U.S. Senior Open. It will host the 2028 U.S. Senior Women’s Open and the 2034 U.S. Senior Open.
