2024 U.S. Women's Amateur Championship: Fan Information Guide
Monday, August 5th: First Round of Championship Stroke Play, 7:15 – 9:21 a.m.; 12:15 – 2:21 p.m.
Tuesday, August 6th: Second Round of Championship Stroke Play, 7:15 – 9:21 a.m.; 12:15 – 2:21 p.m.
A playoff to determine low 64 will take place after the Second round, if necessary.
Wednesday, August 7th: First Round Match Play, 8:30 a.m. – 1:40 p.m.
Thursday, August 8th: Second Round Match Play, 7:15 – 9:45 a.m. Third Round Match Play, 1 – 2:10 p.m.
Friday, August 9th: Quarterfinal Rounds of Match Play, 1:15 – 1:45 p.m.
Saturday, August 10th: Semifinal Round of Match Play, 1:30 – 1:45 p.m.
Sunday, August 11th: Championship Match (36 holes), 8 a.m; approx. 1:30 p.m. (second 18 holes)
The 2024 U.S. Women’s Amateur will be broadcast on Golf Channel and Peacock at the following times:
Wednesday, August 7th: 2 – 5 p.m., Golf Channel
Thursday, August 8th: 2 – 5 p.m., Peacock
Friday, August 9th: 2 – 5 p.m., Peacock
Saturday, August 10th: 2 – 5 p.m., Golf Channel
Sunday, August 11th: 2 – 5 p.m., Golf Channel
Attendance to the U.S. Women’s Amateur is complimentary and does not require a ticket for admission. We invite you to attend all days of the competition. The course will be open to fans during the following hours:
Monday, August 5th – Thursday August 8th: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Friday, August 9th & Saturday, August 10 th: 11 a.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Sunday, August 11th: 7:30 a.m. – 6 p.m.
All fans in attendance will have access to Southern Hills Pro Shop during the Championship to purchase championship specific and Southern Hills logoed merchandise. Clubhouse access is restricted and you will not be able to access the clubhouse through the Pro Shop. The shop will be open while fans are on site.
Hours of Operation: 7.a.m. to 7 p.m.
Parking for public/fans will be available at South Lewis Ave and E 65th Pl. Please follow signage to fan parking.
We ask that you respect each player’s complete focus on preparing for and playing in the championship. If you are requesting an autograph, please be respectful and wait until they have concluded play for the day.
Fans may carry mobile devices smaller than 7” in length and/or height including cellphones, smartphones and PDAs at the U.S. Women’s Amateur and use them for limited purposes on the championship grounds, subject to the following restrictions:
- All device volume controls must be set to “silent” or “vibrate” at all times.
- Phone calls must not be received or placed in any area that may disrupt play.
- Use of approved devices for photographs is subject to the camera/photography policy.
- Video and audio recording and live broadcasting are not permitted at any time.
- Texting and email are permissible throughout all areas of the golf course but use should NOT disrupt players.
Violation of the above policy may result in immediate expulsion and loss of ground privileges for the remainder of the championship.
Food and beverage will be available for purchase on property at Southern Hills. Credit Card will be accepted. Concessions will be located at 5 green, 10 tee and 13/16 green.
- No Weapons (regardless of permit, including but not limited to firearms or knives)
- No Explosives and/or Fireworks of any kind
- No Tablets and/or Computers (mobile devices smaller than 7" are permitted, subject to mobile device policy)
- No Drones
- No Selfie Sticks
- No Cameras (point and shoot, film, or DSLR) or Video Cameras (other than practice round days, for personal use only)
- No Noise-Producing Devices (including portable speakers)
- No Backpacks, Briefcases, Purses and/or Bags larger than 6" W x 6" H x 6" D in their natural state
- NOTE: Transparent/clear plastic hand and shoulder bags no larger than 12" W x 12" H x 6" D are permitted.
- No Signs, Posters and/or Banners
- No Food and/or Beverages except for medical or infant needs
- Water bottles (32-ounce size or less, no glass) are permitted provided they are empty
- No Glass, Coolers, Aerosol Cans and/or Spray Bottles except for medical or infant needs
- NOTE: Personal-care items (3-ounce size or less) are permitted.
- No Pets (other than service animals as defined by the ADA assisting disabled individuals)
- No Lawn Chairs and/or Oversized Chairs (carrying cases are not permitted)
- No Ladders and/or Step Stools or other similar items
- No Bicycles allowed inside admission areas or on the championship grounds
- No other items or actions deemed unlawful, dangerous or disruptive by the USGA and/or Championship Security Personnel, in their sole discretion
- NOTE: The USGA reserves the right to amend the List of Prohibited Items at any time to provide a safe and secure championship.
The USGA will communicate important safety information to fans through special alerts and we will have Rules officials and general staff communicating to any fans specific instructions if there is inclement weather.
A suspension of play for dangerous conditions will be indicated by one prolonged air-horn blast. In the event of a suspension of play, the grounds will be cleared immediately. If lightning is detected, please avoid open areas, hilltops, high places, isolated trees, golf carts and wire fences, and seek shelter immediately. Play will resume as soon as conditions allow.
