Phillips has also competed in five Senior PGA Championships, finishing T-62 earlier this year at The Concession Club, in Bradenton, Fla. In 2022, he was the low PGA professional in the Senior PGA Championship at Harbor Shores in Michigan (T-17). In 2024, he tied for eighth at the PGA Professional Championship to earn a start in the PGA Championship at the age of 61. In 1980, Phillips, a Tulsa, Okla., resident, won the Junior PGA Championship a year after he was the runner-up. He is a four-time South Central PGA Section Player of the Year. His father, Buddy Phillips, was a longtime head professional at Cedar Ridge Country Club, where Tracy now serves in the same capacity. Tracy played at Oklahoma State, where he was a second-time All-American, and he also caddied on the LPGA Tour for three-time USGA champion Kellie Kuehne, whose brother, Hank, will compete in the 2026 U.S. Senior Open.
