Final Qualifying: Shot 71 at Tuscany Falls Country Club, in Goodyear, Ariz., on June 1

The Kalispell, Mont., resident will play in his first U.S. Senior Open after getting into the field as the first alternate from the Goodyear, Ariz., qualifying site. Malby had shot a 71 at Tuscany Falls Country Club, then won a 4-man playoff for first-alternate status. He was the assistant professional at Iron Horse Golf Club, in Kalispell, from 2013-2020. He also previously worked at Village Greens Golf Course from 1994-2012. Malby is a PGA Life Member who also works seasonally at The Summit Club in Las Vegas (2021-present). Malby is a 23-time Western Montana Chapter Player of the Year. In 2024 and 2025, he was named the Pacific Northwest Section Rolex Senior Player of the Year. He competed in the Senior PGA Championship in 2024, 2025 and 2026. He played collegiately at the University of Idaho from 1990-94.
