The Floridian is set to make his second U.S. Senior Open start after missing the cut in 2025 at The Broadmoor. Weekley claimed his first PGA Tour Champions event at the Insperity Invitational, in The Woodlands, Texas, by three strokes over two-time U.S. Open champion Ernie Els. Previously, all three of Weekley's victories had come on the PGA Tour, including consecutive wins in the Verizon Heritage Classic at Harbour Town Golf Links in 2007 and 2008. In 2013, he captured the Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial. Weekley was a member of the victorious 2008 U.S. Ryder Cup Team at Valhalla. Weekley's nickname, Boo, comes from Yogi Bear's sidekick, Boo Boo Bear.
