Advanced out of a local qualifier in Canby, Ore. on April 27 by shooting 73, then carded a 3-under 68 to garner the final spot at Oakbrook Golf & Country Club, in Lakewood, Wash., on May 18. Fribley is the Director of Instruction at Persimmon Country Club, in Gresham, Ore. He is a native of Tualatin, Ore. He has also worked at notable places such as Kapalua Resort, PGA West and La Quinta Country Club. He played collegiately at New Mexico State and competed on the NGA Hooters Tour, Cascade Tour, Golden State Tour and Dakotas Tour before settling into a teaching role. He has advanced to final U.S. Open qualifying five times, and tried his hand at PGA Tour Q-School five times.
