Johnson is set to make his U.S. Senior Open debut after earning his spot in the field via his 2007 Masters and 2015 Open Championship victories, along with a victory in his PGA Tour Champions debut on March 8 (James Hardie Pro Football Hall of Fame Invitational). The Iowa native played his collegiate golf at Drake University before turning professional in 2018. He battled his way from the Korn Ferry Tour to the PGA Tour, where he amassed 12 victories, including his aforementioned major titles. Johnson also posted a pair of victories on the Nationwide Tour (now KFT) in 2003. He has represented the U.S. in five Ryder Cups and four Presidents Cups. He captained the U.S. team in the 2023 Ryder Cup in Italy.
