F-10: Winner of the U.S. Amateur, Masters, The Open, The Amateur Championship or PGA Championship in their first year of eligibility
The long-hitting Kuehne who hails from a golf-centric family, will make his U.S. Senior debut, thanks to his triumph in the 1998 U.S. Amateur. Kuehne took the title at Oak Hills C.C., in Rochester, N.Y., defeating Tom McKnight in the 36-hole final with his brother, Trip, on the bag. Trip would win the U.S. Mid-Amateur nine years later as well as represent the USA on three Walker Cup Teams. Sister, Kelli, won a U.S. Girls' Junior and a pair of U.S. Women's Amateurs before turning professional. She also played on a Curtis Cup Team (1996) and a pair of Solheim Cup Teams. Hank started his college career at Oklahoma State before transferring to Southern Methodist, the same school that produced USGA champions Payne Stewart, Colt Knost, Bryson DeChambeau and Kelly Kraft. Hank also represented the USA in the 1998 World Amateur Team Championship. His professional career was stymied by a series of injuries, but he did manage to post a pair of Canadian Tour victories. Kuehne, the father of three, has been inducted into the Texas Golf and Southern Methodist Halls of Fame.
