Final Qualifying: Shot 70 at The Legend at Bergamont, in Oregon, Wis., on June 2
The owner of eight worldwide professional victories is set to make his ninth U.S. Senior Open start after posting 2-under 70 in final qualifying at The Legend at Bergamont on June 2 in Wisconsin. Parel, who attended the University of Georgia but did not play on the golf team, owns four victories on the PGA Tour Champions, the last coming in 2022 at the ClubCorp Classic. He also won the 2013 Air Capital Classic on the Web.com Tour (now Korn Ferry Tour). He worked for 10 years as a computer programmer and database administrator after college. He turned professional in 1996.
