Guetz will play in his first U.S. Senior Open after navigating both stages of qualifying. He posted a 68 at CommonGround Golf Course to advance out of local qualifying, and then fired an even-par 71 at the Country Club of Colorado on June 3. Guetz is a former assistant golf coach at Denver University and Oklahoma State. Guetz played collegiately for the Cowboys from 1993-97, earning third-team All-American honors in 1996 and an honorable-mention All-American the following year. Guetz is a two-time winner of the Colorado Open (1994, 2008) and he captured one Canadian Tour title. He also won three times on the Gateway Tour. He is a reinstated amateur.
