The Palm Desert, Calif., native qualified for his first U.S. Senior Open by sharing medalist honors at Oakbrook Golf & Country Club, in Lakewood, Wash, posting a 4-under-par 67. Pineo is currently a teaching professional at Montreaux Golf & Country Club, in Reno, Nev., and Toscana Country Club, in Indian Wells, Calif. He tied for ninth in the 2025 Senior PGA Professional Championship to qualify for the 2026 Senior PGA Championship in Florida. In 2025, he won the Senior Northern California Open. He qualified for the 2007 U.S. Open at Oakmont (Pa.) Country Club. He also played on the Canadian Tour for two seasons. He played at the College of the Desert in California for two seasons.
