Bio
The Swedish professional earned his second U.S. Senior Open start by shooting 3-under-par 67 at New Haven Country Club on May 27. Sjoland owns eight professional victories, including two on the European Tour (now DP World Tour), the 1998 Italian Open and 2000 Murphy's Irish Open. Since turning 50, he's captured one title on the European Senior Tour (2023 Farmfoods European Senior Masters). He was the European Senior Tour's Rookie of the Year in 2023. His best major finish came in the 1999 Open Championship when he finished tied for 18th. In 1999, he claimed the Hong Kong Open, a stroke ahead of Ian Woosnam.
