The University of Texas alum will make his third U.S. Senior Open start after surviving a 3-for-2 playoff at Golfcrest Country Club, in Pearland, Texas, on June 1. Uresti carded a 2-under 70 at the final qualifier. Uresti was born in Austin, Texas, and then joined the Longhorns program. He turned professional immediately after graduating in 1991. Of his nine worldwide professional wins, two have come on the Nationwide Tour (now Korn Ferry Tour). He claimed the 1994 Nike Shreveport Open and the 2007 Livermore Valley Wine Country Championship. He also won the PGA Professional Championship in 2017 and 2021, and the Senior PGA Professional Championship in 2020.
