Austin is set to make his 12th U.S. Senior Open start. Born in Tampa, Fla., he played collegiately at the University of Miami before turning professional in 1986. In 1995, Austin was named the PGA Tour Rookie of the Year. He has amassed four PGA Tour victories, the first coming in the 1995 Buick Open and the last in the 2013 Sanderson Farms Championship. Since turning 50, he has registered four victories on the PGA Tour Champions, the last coming in the 2018 Dominion Energy Charity Classic. In 2007, he was the runner-up in the PGA Championship held at Southern Hills Country Club, two strokes back of Tiger Woods. He also was a member of the victorious 2007 U.S. Presidents Cup Team.
