Eight years after competing in his first U.S. Senior Open, the Bloomington, Ind., resident will tee it up again after surviving a 6-for-5 playoff. Bowden carded a 70 before earning one of the last five spots. At his local qualifier in Fort Wayne, Ind., Bowden carded a 71 on April 29. Bowden played collegiately at the University of Indianapolis,a Division II school. He turned professional in 1989. He owns 14 professional victories, three of which have come on the Korn Ferry Tour. His last title on that circuit came in the 2006 Northeast Pennsylvania Classic. He's also won three Indiana Opens, two Indiana PGA Championships, an Indiana Senior Open and Indiana Senior PGA Championship.
