The 1996 U.S. Amateur Public Links champion will make his seventh start in the U.S. Senior Open after posting an even-par 71 at El Caballero Country Club on June 15. Hogarth is hoping seven will be his lucky number as he has missed the cut in his previous six appearances. Hogarth, a Cal State Northridge graduate, also was the runner-up to Nathan Smith in the 2010 U.S. Mid-Amateur at Atlantic Golf Club. He is a three-time USGA stroke-play medalist, including the 2021 U.S. Senior Amateur when he matched the lowest 18-hole round in championship history with a 65. Hogarth operates a health and natural foods brokerage business.
