F-17: Top 40 leaders on the all-time PGA Tour Champions money list

Few players can match the U.S. Senior Open cut streak of the native North Carolinian and former Wake Forest University star. Haas is a perfect 18-for-18 in made cuts, which includes six top-10 finishes. He tied for third in his first U.S. Senior Open in 2004 at Bellerive Country Club, in St. Louis, not far from where he grew up in Belleville, Ill. Haas would atttend Wake Forest, where he teamed with future two-time U.S. Open champion Curtis Strange to win an NCAA title. He also won the 1975 Division I individual title before turning professional in 1976. Haas would amass 33 professional victories, including nine on the PGA Tour. He has also captured 18 PGA Tour Champions titles, including a pair of Senior PGA Championships (2006 and 2008) and the 2009 Constellation Energy Senior Players Championship. While he never won a major on the regular tour, Haas did produce 15 top-10s. He tied for ninth in 2004 at Shinnecock Hills, where both he and son, Bill, made the 36-hole cut. Bill also starred at Wake Forest, and like his father, represented the USA in the Walker Cup Match; Jay in 1975 and Bill in 2003. He also played on three U.S. Ryder Cup and two Presidents Cup Teams. He captained the 2015 Presidents Cup Team with Bill as a member. His brother, Jerry, is the head coach at Wake Forest and another Walker Cup alum. He is the nephew of 1968 Masters champion Bob Goalby.
