Bio
The 2011 U.S. Senior Open champion will tee it up for a 15th time in the U.S. Senior Open after posting a 2-under 70 at a final qualifier held at The Bear's Club on June 3. Born in Washington, D.C., Browne attended Occidental College in Los Angeles. He turned professional in 1984. He owns nine professional victories, three of which came on the PGA Tour. He won the 1998 Canon Greater Hartford Open, the 1999 MasterCard Colonial and the 2005 Deutsche Bank Championship. His only other PGA Tour Champions victory came in the 2015 Greater Gwinnett Championship. He posted 15-under 269 to win the 2011 U.S. Senior Open at Inverness Club, a year after he shared third at Sahalee Country Club. He also tied for fifth in the 1997 U.S. Senior Open at Congressional C.C. His son, Olin Browne Jr. is also a professional who qualified for the 2023 U.S. Open at The Los Angeles Country Club.
