Bio

The former University of California-Berkeley star is set to make his third U.S. Senior Open start. The Republic of Korea native owns nine worldwide professional victories, five of which have come on the Korean Tour. He also won the 2006 Maybank Malaysian Open, a co-sanctioned event between the European Tour (now DP World Tour) and the Asian Tour., where Wi has posted seven victories. While born in Korea, Wi moved to Southern California at age 10 and later attended Cal after a brief stint at the University of Nevaa, in Reno. In 1990, Wi won the California Amateur, and five years later, he claimed the Southern California Golf Association Amateur.
