Duke is set to make his seventh consecutive U.S. Senior Open start. The Floridian, who was born in Arkansas, owns one PGA Tour Champions victory, the 2023 Shaw Charity Classic. He also earned one PGA Tour victory at the 2013 Travelers Championship. Born in Hope, Ark., Duke discovered as a 7-year-old that he had scoliosis, which is a curvature of the spine. On the day of his surgery in 1985, his spine was at 72 degrees and worsening Once a metal rod was inserted, the degree of his spine was set at 38 degrees, which allowed him to return to playing high-level golf. Duke played at Division II Henderson State and was an NAIA All-American. He turned professional in 1994 and bounced between the Asian, Canadian and South American Tours before eventually landing on the Nike/Nationwide Tour (now Korn Ferry Tour) and PGA Tour. Of his two wins on the Nationwide Tour, one came in the 2011 Nationwide Tour Championship.
