DiMarco, a three-time PGA Tour winner and three-time major runner-up, will tee it up for a fifth time in the U.S. Senior Open. DiMarco's last PGA Tour title came in the 2002 Phoenix Open. His maiden win was the 2000 SEI Pennsylvania Classic. He also lost playoffs in both the PGA Championship and Masters in 2004 and 2005, respectively. In 2005, Tiger Woods famously chipped in on No. 16 and then managed to defeat the University of Florida graduate on the first sudden-death playoff hole with a birdie. Vijay Singh defeated both DiMarco and Justin Leonard in a three-hole aggregate playoff in the 2004 PGA Championship. Two years later, he was the runner-up at Hoylake (Royal Liverpool) to Woods by two strokes. DiMarco represented the USA in the 2004 and 2006 Ryder Cups, and 2003 and 2005 Presidents Cups. He owns three top-10s in senior majors, including a share of fifth in the 2025 Regions Tradition. His son, Cristian, also is a standout golfer who has since turned pro.
