THRIVE Certified Coaches, Captains and Leaders
USNDP THRIVE™ Certification is the highest level of preparation for State Junior Team leaders. Candidates must complete SafeSport training and a background check; coaches must also hold LPGA, PGA of America, or LPGA/PGA Tour Member status. All candidates attend a two-day THRIVE™ Training and complete four requirements.
Candidates must first complete SafeSport training and a background check, and Coaches must also hold LPGA, PGA of America, or LPGA/PGA Tour Member status. All candidates then attend the full two day THRIVE™ Training and complete four certification requirements: the THRIVE™ Training Feedback Form, USGA Rules 101 (or other USGA approved rules education), Golf’s ADM online training, and Accel Golf statistical education and application. USNDP THRIVE™ Training is essential because it equips leaders with holistic tools for supporting elite juniors, ensures consistent and scalable delivery nationwide, reinforces the use of the USNDP Combine to guide development, introduces proven strategies for building learning environments where athletes can thrive, and strengthens collaboration among coaches and captains. Whether part of the inaugural group or those who follow, every USNDP THRIVE™ Certified Coach and Captain contributes to a unified, high standard pathway for developing the next generation of American golf talent.
Being part of the inaugural class of U.S. National Development Program (USNDP) THRIVE™ Certified Coaches and Captains is a landmark achievement for the USNDP. This first group met all program prerequisites, completed the immersive in person THRIVE™ Training, and fulfilled the certification requirements that now set the national standard for coach and captain development in junior golf. As trailblazers, they established the culture, expectations, and commitment to athlete centered, holistic development that future USNDP leaders will follow—shaping the long-term success of elite junior golfers across the country.
