Junior Golf Scoreboard will provide the USNDP with access to its scoring and results data, which will assist in its athlete identification, tracking and evaluation.
The USGA is pleased to announce that Junior Golf Scoreboard has been selected as an industry supporter of the U.S. National Development Program (USNDP). Through this relationship, Junior Golf Scoreboard will provide the USNDP with access to its scoring and results data, both current and historical, which will assist in its athlete identification, tracking and evaluation.
“This historical data will assist us with our player pathways research so we can better understand trends across top junior golfers in relation to rankings, scores and scheduling, and how that may or may not impact performance at the next level,” said Heather Daly-Donofrio, the USGA’s managing director for player development and relations.
In addition, Junior Golf Scoreboard will leverage other features of its platform to help USNDP create more comprehensive watch lists and trend reports.
"Having been devoted to the growth of the game for more than two decades, it is a great honor for us to team up with the USGA and its USNDP initiative," said Mac Thayer of Junior Golf Scoreboard.
The USGA established the USNDP to create the country’s first unified pathway to nurture the potential of America’s top players and ensure that American golf is the global leader in the game by focusing on six key pillars: talent identification, access to competition, national teams, athlete resources, player development and relations and athlete financial support. As part of its talent identification pillar, the USNDP is creating a process and pipeline to identify the country’s most promising junior golfers.
