Twin Brothers Share Caddie Experience at 74th U.S. Girls’ Junior
Because parents/guardians are not permitted to caddie in USGA Junior Championships, players often seek out someone associated with the host club/course to caddie for the competition. This year’s U.S. Girls’ Junior at the United States Air Force Eisenhower Golf Club (Blue Course) is no exception as nearly half of the 156-player field employed a local caddie. Two such caddies happened to be 56-year-old twin brothers David (Nicole Ikeda) and Brian Catalfamo (Abra Richmond). They also happened to end up in the same grouping for stroke play. The twins’ father was in the military, and they joined Eisenhower G.C. when they moved to Colorado Springs in 1985. Brian has caddied in two previous Colorado Women’s Opens, but this was David’s first foray. Both are enjoying the experience.
